Four Provinces Held PNP Draws This Week

Four provinces held PNP draws this week, namely, Ontario, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Quebec. They invited skilled candidates for permanent residence.

Quebec

On 20 July, Quebec held a draw through its separate Provincial Nominee Program. 1633 candidates were invited from the Arrima portal (Quebec’s immigration portal) that either had a level 7 proficiency in French according to the Quebec scale of French proficiency, had a valid job offer outside of the Montreal Metropolitan Area, or had a minimum CRS score equivalent or greater to 596 points.

British Columbia

Two separate draws were held by British Columbia across 6 different streams of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) on July 25.

Express Entry-aligned PNP streams were referred by the Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) Options Streams for the BCPNP. These are known as enhanced PNP nominations and permit candidates in the federal Express Entry pool to be nominated by a specific province to immigrate there.

175 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were delivered in the first draw which was a general draw, between the below-mentioned streams, with corresponding CRS cut-off scores:

StreamCRS Cut off
Skilled Worker Stream106
Skilled Worker Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) Option Stream106
International Graduate Stream109
International Graduate EEBC Option Stream109
Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Stream87

Specific professions were targeted by the second draw which was exclusive to the Skilled Worker International Graduate Stream, which includes the Express Entry British Columbia option.

Healthcare professionals received 30 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) with a CRS cut-off score of 60, 30 ITAs were received by early childhood educators and assistants who had a CRS cut-off score of 60, other priority occupations (specifically Veterinarians), animal health technologists and veterinary technicians received at least 4 ITAs in the latest draw with a minimum CRS score of 60.

Ontario

Under its French-Speaking Skilled Stream, Ontario issued 95 notifications of interest (NOIs) on July 25 to candidates having Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores between 321 and 374. Notifications of Interest is the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) equivalent of an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

 Manitoba

On July 28, three different draws were held by Manitoba across separate streams. 299 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued by Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, to candidates with a minimum CRS score of 633, the LAAs are the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) equivalent of an ITA. 41 LAAs were issued to candidates in International Education Stream, and 15 LAAs were issued to candidates in the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream who had a minimum CRS score of 726.

A total of 354 LAAs were issued, from which 56 were issued to the candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile, likely indicating these are enhanced nominations.Canada Immigration News will bring you the latest updates about the Provincial Nominee Program draws later.
