Newfoundland and Labrador has held its latest provincial immigration draw, issuing 108 invitations to eligible candidates through the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
The draw took place on June 10, 2026, becoming the province’s first immigration selection round for the month of June.
Among the total invitations issued, 89 were allocated through the NLPNP, while 19 invitations went to candidates under the Atlantic Immigration Program.
The provincial government has not released information regarding the occupations, sectors, or specific immigration streams targeted during this round.
After several draws with declining invitation numbers, the latest selection recorded a small increase compared to the previous draw, which issued 103 invitations.
Since the beginning of 2026, Newfoundland and Labrador has invited 1,487 immigration candidates, with nearly 84% of invitations issued through the Provincial Nominee Program.
To be considered for either the NLPNP or the Atlantic Immigration Program, applicants must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). Most candidates are also required to obtain a valid job offer from an eligible employer in the province before submitting their profile.
Candidates selected in a provincial draw have 60 days to submit their complete application for nomination or endorsement. After receiving provincial approval, they may proceed with their application for Canadian permanent residence through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Newfoundland and Labrador continues to use its immigration programs to attract skilled workers and support the province’s long-term economic and labour market needs.
