Within a week, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program conducted three draws between Oct 1, 2025 to Oct 7, 2025. One of the draws that was conducted has the distinction of being the second largest draw of 2025. Among those invited during the draws were Express Entry Candidates in Tech Occupations and in-demand sectors being prioritized by the province.
Between October 1 and October 7, the AAIP extended a total of 1,324 Invitations to Apply or ITAs through three immigration stream which are given below:

Consistent with the 2025 draws, the Alberta Opportunity Stream comprised the large chunk of invitations issued by Alberta.

So as to elaborate, the Alberta Opportunity Stream for temporary foreign workers currently employed full time in Alberta with a qualifying job offer letter from an Alberta Employer. The Accelerated Tech Pathway under Express Entry is for qualified tech professionals who are either working in Alberta or have a valid job offer in an eligible tech occupation within the province.The Priority Sectors (Construction) under Express Entry listed an eligible construction company who in their Express Entry Profile listed an eligible construction occupation as their primary occupation and may have had an Alberta job offer in the industry.
On September 9, 2025 the government of Alberta announced that it received an increase of 1,528 nominations thereby increasing the current nomination count to 6,403 under the AAIP.
According to Alberta, the increase in nomination allocation from the previous count of 4,875 in January 2025, will help the same to address the demands of its labour market and support key economic priorities. The province has redistributed its nominations amongst various streams. The ways in which nominations were allotted before and after this September 9 announcement are given below:

As of October 10, the AAIP has issued a total of 4,228 nominations of its total 6,403 nomination allocation for 2025. Alberta still has 2,175 available nomination slots for the remainder of the year.
