IRCC Conducts Express Entry Draw for Thousands of Healthcare Professionals
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has held another round of invitations under the Express Entry system, targeting candidates in the Healthcare and Social Services category.
A total of 2,500 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued in this draw. To qualify, candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 472 and needed to have submitted their Express Entry profile before 11:17 p.m. (UTC) on May 12, 2025.

This is the fifth draw of the year for the healthcare category, making it one of the most active streams within Express Entry. It is also the second-largest healthcare draw so far, tied with the August 19 round, and only surpassed by the July 22 draw, which invited 4,000 healthcare professionals.
Despite there being just five healthcare draws in 2025, the category has already resulted in nearly 10,000 invitations, ranking third among all Express Entry categories in terms of ITAs issued.
This healthcare-focused round is the fourth Express Entry draw in October, following:
- A Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on October 14
- A French-language category draw on October 6
- A Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw on October 1
In total, 73,183 ITAs have been issued through Express Entry in 2025. The majority of these invitations have gone to PNP candidates, with the remaining distributed among CEC candidates, French-language applicants, and those in priority occupation categories, including healthcare.
