The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) has conducted four new provincial draws during the final two weeks of October, extending invitations to more than 1,100 candidates across multiple immigration streams and pathways.
| Date | Stream / Pathway / Initiative | Minimum Score | Invitations Issued |
| October 29 | Alberta Express Entry Stream – Law Enforcement Pathway | 46 | <10 |
| October 28 | Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors (Construction) | 60 | 60 |
| October 24 | Dedicated Health Care Pathway – non-Express Entry | 42 | 142 |
| October 23 | Alberta Opportunity Stream | 60 | 900 |
The Alberta Opportunity Stream accounted for the majority of invitations in this round, with 900 candidates receiving invites. This stream targets temporary foreign workers who are already employed full-time in Alberta and hold a qualifying job offer from an eligible Alberta employer.
The Dedicated Health Care Pathway, which issued 142 invitations, continues to help address staffing shortages in the province’s healthcare system. It is designed for professionals with valid job offers in eligible healthcare occupations.
The Law Enforcement Pathway, a part of the Alberta Express Entry Stream, invited fewer than 10 candidates this time. It was launched to support recruitment for police services across Alberta and is open to candidates with job offers from members of the Alberta Association of Chiefs of Police.
Additionally, the Priority Sectors (Construction) pathway under the Alberta Express Entry Stream invited 60 candidates. This pathway focuses on construction professionals who have listed eligible occupations in their Express Entry profiles and may hold Alberta-based job offers in the industry.
Earlier this year, Alberta was allocated 4,875 nomination slots from the federal government. However, in September, the allocation was increased to 6,603, allowing more skilled professionals to obtain provincial nominations.
As of the most recent update, the province has issued 5,137 nominations, leaving 1,466 slots still available for the year.
| Stream | 2025 Allocation | Nominations Issued | Remaining | EOIs in Pool |
| Alberta Opportunity Stream | 3,656 | 2,755 | 901 | 31,149 |
| Rural Renewal Stream | 1,100 | 970 | 130 | 3,311 |

Through these draws, Alberta continues to align its immigration strategy with local labour market priorities. By focusing on construction, healthcare, and law enforcement, the province is ensuring that its economic and community needs are met through targeted immigration.
The AAIP remains a key pathway for skilled workers and professionals seeking to build their future in Alberta, offering multiple streams for candidates in and outside the Express Entry system.
