Newfoundland and Labrador has conducted a new round of provincial immigration invitations this week, issuing a total of 330 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through two key programs the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
The Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM) distributed the ITAs in a 2:1 ratio, with most invitations going to NLPNP candidates.
Here is the program-wise breakdown:
| Program | Invitations Issued |
| NLPNP | 220 |
| AIP | 110 |
This latest round represents the highest number of NLPNP invitations since July 2025 and the largest AIP round since September 2025. The province has not released details on which NLPNP streams received invitations.
So far in 2025, Newfoundland and Labrador has completed 13 draws across both provincial pathways.
| Program | Total Invitations (2025) |
| NLPNP | 2,473 |
| AIP | 990 |
For 2025, Newfoundland and Labrador has been allotted 2,525 nomination spaces, divided as follows:
It’s important to note that an invitation is not the same as a nomination. Invitations allow candidates to submit their application to the province, but nominations reflect final approval under the federal allocation. Many invited candidates may choose not to apply or may not meet the final eligibility requirements, which is why provinces often issue more invitations than their available nomination spaces.
The province originally had 1,050 NLPNP nomination spaces, but after discussions with the federal government, it received an additional 1,050 spaces, doubling its quota.
The federal government has increased its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) targets for 2026.
The new target is 91,500 permanent resident admissions, significantly higher than the 55,000 target for 2025 a 66% year-over-year increase.
With this rise in national PNP admissions, Newfoundland and Labrador is expected to receive more nomination spaces in 2026, allowing the province to welcome a greater number of provincial nominees. However, the exact allocation for each province has not yet been announced.
