Canada Invites 6,000 Express Entry Applicants in Draw with One of the Lowest CRS Cut-Offs in 2025
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 6,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in its latest Express Entry draw, specifically targeting candidates proficient in French.
Candidates eligible for this round needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 408 and must have submitted their Express Entry profiles on or before 12:28 p.m. UTC on 26 May 2025.

This marks the eighth French-language draw of 2025 and ties for the third-largest single draw conducted this year. With today’s invitations, Francophone candidates have received a cumulative 42,000 ITAs through Express Entry over the past 11 months, the highest allotment across all categories.
French-language draws have consistently produced the largest single-category invitation numbers in 2025. In fact, the seven largest draws to date all belonged to this category, with ITA rounds ranging from 4,500 to 7,500 invitations.
Today’s draw also brings the total number of ITAs issued by IRCC in 2025 to 94,476.

While PNP remains the stream with the most frequent draws, French-language candidates and CEC applicants continue to receive the majority of ITAs.
This latest development underscores IRCC’s ongoing commitment to boosting Francophone immigration and supporting Canada’s demand for skilled immigrants in various sectors.
