Canada Issues New Category-Based Express Entry Invitations for Healthcare Workers in December
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 1,000 new Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in its latest Express Entry draw targeting candidates in the Healthcare and Social Services category.
To receive an invitation in this round, candidates required:
- A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 476, and
- An Express Entry profile created before 7:44 a.m. (UTC) on November 26, 2025.

This marks the third Express Entry draw of December. It follows the largest Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw of the past 16 months on December 11, the year’s biggest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on December 8, and a major French-language proficiency draw on November 28. Collectively, these draws represent one of the busiest periods of ITA issuance in the past year.
So far in 2025, IRCC has issued 106,599 ITAs through the Express Entry system.
Throughout the year, Express Entry activity has largely centred on PNP-focused draws, with additional invitations issued through CEC, French-language proficiency, and other priority occupation categories.
