Alberta Completes 2025 PNP Nominations With Two Final Invitation Rounds

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) has officially reached its full 2025 provincial nomination allocation following the issuance of its final Invitations to Apply (ITAs).

After meeting its declared cap of 6,741 nominations, Alberta is not expected to conduct any additional AAIP invitation rounds for the remainder of 2025. The program confirmed its full allocation status through an update on its official processing information page.

The province’s final AAIP draws, published retroactively, focused on candidates in healthcare occupations.

Alberta began 2025 with 4,875 nomination spaces and later received an additional 1,728 nominations, bringing its total allocation to 6,603 spots.

Despite this allocation, Alberta issued 6,750 nominations, exceeding its quota due to a limited Express Entry administrative coverage authorized by the federal government.

  • March 17: Invitations under the Family Connection and Occupation in Demand pathway were discontinued, though points for family connections remain claimable.
  • April 1: Application fees increased across multiple streams:
    • Worker streams: from $840 to $1,500
    • Farm Stream: from $500 to $3,500
    • Nomination certificate reissuance fee: from $100 to $150
  • April 1: Pearson Test of English (PTE) Core was accepted for all AAIP streams.
