This round marks the 11th CEC-focused draw of the year. Interestingly, IRCC has now held four consecutive CEC draws featuring 1,000 invitations each, with the CRS cut-off consistently remaining close to 533 or 534.
It also represents the first time since August that two separate Canadian Experience Class draws have taken place within the same month, the previous one occurring on October 1.
The latest CEC round follows a series of category-based draws conducted earlier this month, including:
In total, 74,485 Invitations to Apply have been issued through Express Entry so far this year.
Throughout the year, IRCC has diversified its selection strategy to include multiple Express Entry streams. While Provincial Nominee Program draws continue to dominate, a significant number of invitations have also been issued under the CEC, French-language proficiency, and priority occupation categories.
| Draw Type | Number of Draws |
| Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) | 20 |
| Canadian Experience Class (CEC) | 11 |
| French-language proficiency | 6 |
| Healthcare and Social Services | 5 |
| Education | 2 |
| Trade | 1 |
The continuation of CEC draws suggests that IRCC remains focused on providing permanent residency opportunities to individuals already contributing to Canada’s economy through work experience. These candidates typically possess Canadian credentials, local work experience, and a strong understanding of workplace culture, all factors that help them integrate successfully as permanent residents.
Given the consistency in draw sizes and CRS thresholds, experts anticipate that CEC draws will continue at a steady pace for the remainder of the year, offering strong chances to qualified candidates within the pool.
