Recently on 14th October 2025, Newfoundland and Labrador issued 125 Invitations to Apply or ITAs for provincial immigration under the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nomination Program (NLPNP) and Atlantic Immigration Program. This is the eleventh draw of the year conducted by Newfoundland and Labrador Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM). The office has issued a total of 2,946 ITAs to candidates till 14th October 2025.
The table given below shows the breakdown of ITAs issued by OIM between NLPNP and the AIP:
Date of the Draw | Total ITAs issued | NLPNP ITAs | AIP ITAs |
October 9, 2025 | 125 | 73 | 52 |
The OIM did not specify to which streams these NLPNP ITAs belonged to.
According to the government of Newfoundland and Labrador, individuals seeking to immigrate to the province through NLPNP or AIP must have a valid job offer letter or job offer from an employer in the province.
Expressions of Interest (EOIs) that align with Newfoundland and Labrador’s labour market needs and economic development goals have been prioritized by OIM for invitations for this year.
Candidates who receive NLPNP ITA through email can submit a form for provincial nomination through their Immigration Accelerator portal account.
In contrast through the AIP, designated employers receive a notification and an official ITA confirmation letter through the same portal allowing them to apply for job endorsement directly.
All immigration candidates who do not reside in Canada and apply solely through NLPNP require an invite code by their employer before putting in their Expression of Interest or EOI.
On October 14, 2025., the total provincial nomination allocation for Newfoundland and Labrador stood at 2,525 spaces that is shared between NLPNP and AIP with the majority of allocation going to former..
Early in February 2025, OIM was granted additional 1,000 nomination spots to address growing labour shortages and population needs. Most of this increase was dedicated to NLPNP.
The AIP allotments for Newfoundland and Labrador remain set at 475.
Since adopting the EOI system in February 2025, Newfoundland and Labrador has joined other provinces in implementing a two step “candidate-applicant” model – streamlining how workers and employers connect to meet current economic and demographic goals.
