September Immigration Selections: Alberta Invites More Than 1,300 Candidates

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) has issued 1,376 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through seven draws held between September 2 and September 10. These invitations targeted candidates who already have Alberta job offers and are well-positioned to support the province’s labor market needs in sectors facing acute shortages.

Highlights from September draws

Alberta has already broken its record for monthly invitations in 2025, despite September only being halfway through. The largest round took place on September 4, when 891 applicants received invitations under the Alberta Opportunity Stream. This stream continues to be Alberta’s most sought-after pathway, given its large nomination allocation and the sheer number of Expressions of Interest (EOIs) in its pool, which now stands at nearly 42,000.
