Six Alberta Immigration Draws Issue Hundreds of Invitations

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) conducted six provincial immigration draws between February 6 and February 19, 2026, issuing a total of 441 invitations across multiple streams.

The invitations were distributed through Alberta’s Rural Renewal Stream and several targeted Alberta Express Entry pathways, including priority sector selections.

Key Highlights

  • The February 12 draw marked the first manufacturing-specific selection since the occupation category was added as a priority in January 2026.

  • This Rural Renewal draw was also the first conducted after new eligibility restrictions came into effect on January 1, 2026. The updated rules require in-Canada candidates to hold a valid work permit and introduce limits on annual community endorsements for designated communities.
