Canada Issues Thousands of Invitations in Healthcare Express Entry Draw
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted another round of invitations under the Express Entry system, issuing 2,500 invitations to apply (ITAs) to candidates in the Healthcare and social services category.
Applicants needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 470 to be considered and must have created their Express Entry profile before April 23, 2025, at 8:08 p.m. UTC.

This draw is the fifth of the month and the second this week. Since May, Canada has held one Express Entry draw per month for Healthcare and social services occupations. Before then, no such draws had taken place in 2025, showing a new emphasis on healthcare talent in Canada’s immigration strategy.
The most recent draw follows other targeted invitations this month, including a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on August 18, a French language proficiency draw on August 8, and a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw on August 7.
With this latest round, Canada has issued 55,820 ITAs so far in 2025. This year, most Express Entry invitations have gone to PNP candidates, with others allocated to CEC applicants, French-speaking candidates, and individuals in priority occupations.
