First Express Entry Draw of July Records Lowest PNP CRS Cut-Off of 2026
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted its first Express Entry draw of July, issuing 534 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
The draw, held on July 6, 2026, required candidates to have:
- A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 708.
- An Express Entry profile submitted before 2:49 p.m. UTC on June 4, 2026.

The latest CRS requirement is the lowest recorded in a Provincial Nominee Program draw this year and the lowest since November 2025.
With this draw, IRCC has now conducted 35 Express Entry rounds in 2026. The majority of invitations this year have targeted candidates with Canadian work experience or provincial nominations, reflecting Canada’s focus on retaining skilled workers already contributing to the country’s labour market.
To date, IRCC has invited 89,601 candidates through Express Entry in 2026. The largest share of invitations has gone to candidates under the Canadian Experience Class (41,250 ITAs), followed by French-language proficiency draws (30,500 ITAs). Other invitation rounds have included Provincial Nominee Program candidates, healthcare and social services professionals, trades workers, physicians with Canadian work experience, and senior managers.
The reduced CRS cut-off in the latest Provincial Nominee Program draw may provide encouraging prospects for candidates who have secured a provincial nomination and are waiting for an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
