Alberta Sends Over 1,000 Invitations in Latest PNP Draws
In September, 2025, Alberta conducted three draws as a part of its Provincial Nomination Program (PNP). It had the distinction of holding the biggest Canada PNP draw of the year as of the end of September 2025.
On September 12, Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) invited over 1,000 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through Alberta Opportunity Stream followed by two draws the next week. In total, 1,433 invitations were sent out over these three draws.

The Alberta Opportunity Stream is designed for temporary foreign workers that are employed full-time in Alberta and have a qualifying full time offer letter from an eligible Alberta employer.
The Accelerated Tech Pathway under Alberta Express Entry Stream is for tech professionals who are working or have a job offer in Alberta from an eligible employer and Law Enforcement Pathway are for those candidates who have job offers from Alberta Association of Chiefs of Police members. All the candidates of Alberta Express Stream must meet the requirements of the federal Express Entry System.

As of September 26, 2025, Alberta has issued 3,983 nominations out of its nomination allocation of 4,875 (increased to 6,403 slots in early September 2025). Almost 892 nominations will definitely be assigned this year.
